Adult Beginners // Review

Adult Beginners came out on September 8 2014. It is a Drama/Comedy about a failed entrepreneur that moves in with his estranged sister and brother-in-law. Not knowing what to do with his life, he becomes his 3-year-old nephew’s nanny to help his pregnant sister save money.

This strangely normal movie was quite underwhelming. The story was interesting enough to keep watching, but not extremely good. I liked how the main character changed his life around and renewed his relationship with his sister, but the story was so normal with absolutely no twists that made you gasp in suprise that I just don’t think it was a good movie. It’s not necessarily a bad movie since the story was interesting, but it’s not one of those movies that you want to watch a thousand more times because it was so amazing. This movie is definitely going in my “I don’t regret watching it, but I won’t be watching it again” drawer.
