The Night Before // Review

The Night Before is a comedy that was released on November 20, 2015. Its three main characters are played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Seth Rogen and Anthony Mackie. It’s the story of three best friends that have this Christmas tradition and since two of them are having a lot going on in their lives, they decide it’s going to be the last year they do this. Luckily for them, Ethan (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) finds tickets to the Nutcracka Ball, a ball they’ve been dying to go to ever since they found out it existed. The movie follows the three friends throughout their crazy night.

I knew it was going to be a crazy movie from the moment I saw Seth Rogen was in it, but I somehow was still surprised at how crazy it was. Of course Seth Rogen’s character had to do a bunch of drugs and I’m usualy tolerent, but this time he acted so crazy it was just extremely cringy and annoying everything he was on screen. I did laugh, I’m not going to lie. There were some parts that were still funny even though he annoyed me. Once you get over the guy freeking out ’cause he’s on drugs, you find yourself in front of a guy that’s just so full of himself because he’s famous. Then there’s the last guy that’s just sort of normal, but also doesn’t exactly know how to act normal haha.

It was a bit all over the place for a movie, I laughed at certain parts, but for the most part it was quite the cringy movie. I sadly don’t recomment it.
